Torque wrench
Aw shucks. That was just a pre-emptive rant. The Bastard car was a few years ago - Wintertime project. Sold it for an obscene amount of money to some cat in Kuala Lumpur and now have a "real" 930 (My third). The new one has K27 HF, 964 cams, Kokeln, Leask adjustable WUR, Carillo rods, MSD etc. EPS - Tucson

DO check your manufacturer's specs, particularly at the "rails",..you'll quickly see where price differentials lurk. The +/- is more sloppy at the endpoints. I used the Kohl's variety, 100 ft lb'r for about 6 months for my wheel lugs then realized the error margin (yes,..let's pick a bit of flysheeit out of the pepper...). Now (and smartly so) I use a 150 - 200 ft lb'r so that she lives in the mid (and more accurate) region of her rating.....as Hcoles speaks of this bottom end, so goes the top,..maybe a bit less...just check your specs and you'll know what you have to work with. Best, Doyle
