How to remove a shift rod? partial engine drop possible?
Hi Guys,
After snapping a bolt off in the shift rod and then and a snapped easy out stuck in there I need to remove the shift rod before I do any more damage! Can I drop the engine far enough without having to disconnect too much stuff to get it out? So my question is what's the easiest way to get out the shift rod, I read someone removed one in the car, maybe the 915 has a different rod as I just can't imagine my g50 shift rod coming out in the car. Any help much appreciated, kicking myself for using that easy out I should have just drilled it out.

Ahhh that's why...? Thanks John, I'm thinking I can lower it a fair bit without having to disconnect too much stuff. I don't think would need disconnect CV joints, maybe just fuel and oil as I don't have heat exchangers not that that makes much difference. Such a *****, I'd only just got the car back on the road again!
