SC Window

The driver's side window in my 82 SC jumped the track today.

Any tips, tricks, and/or advice as to how to repair?

Thanks in advance.

Bob,

I would bet that the culprit is the small securing bolt at the bottom track section and came loose. So an inspection is necessary. Open up the door panel and do a visual inspection. It will probably lead you to the problem. BTW, is it a targa or a coupe? Good luck......

thanks Tony.

it is a targa.

I have not removed a door panel before. Is it straightforward or wrought with peril?

its very easy, take off the top trim piece, (2 phillips screws on each end behind plugs) pull inner door handle out and unclip rod, remove 4 6 mill allen heads holding on pull stap, remove phillip screws holding on pocket and lid hinge, feel around where your panal clips are and gently pop them off, you door panal is basiclly cardboard, so be carful not to tear.
