Oh man, that's exactly what I want to do, body-wise. I even want the S style front bump instead of the RS. Great looking car you have there! What rims are you running?

It wasn't the weight savings so much as it was the aero advantage that it gave the car.

I raced at the Runoffs in the 70s and I remember that car. Wasn't that a Miester car?

Car was owned, built and driven by Don Istook of Ft Worth, TX.
Prior to this car he ran a '67S with similar livery.

Did you have to get a widened S front bumper to fit the flared front fenders, or is that a stock S front bumper?

Got the bumpers and wings from Rennspeed Motorsport. http://rennspd.com/
The S bumpers are made to fit either narrow or wide bodies.
I got the 1 to fit rsr style wings because i think it looks better.

Hey those look familiar!

That first one is a photoshop job I did when I was entertaining an S/T Targa. The bottom one(s) were taken at a local show a few years back. I think the widebody is a great look for the Targa. There should be a number of threads that highlight what you're looking for. Start by searching for The Ultimate Targa Thread.

Cheers!

I admit I'm a new poster after years of just reading the posts. How does one insert a picture?

Host it somewhere, like photobucket, which is free. Upload your photos there. It will give you the URL to said photo(s). When posting here, click "go advanced" and post that way. There's a little button, like a yellow square with a mountain sillouette in it, click there and paste the URL of your photo in there.

Thanks for the site! How was the fitment and quality of their parts? Would you recommend them?

That model looks like Bob Overby's BP/Trans Am car. It was a write off at the Road Atlanta Run Offs early 80's. Coming thru the dip suspension bottomed and lost it rolled up the hill, hit under the bridge outside and stopped track left part way down the hill. Bob was OK and won EP in a great race with John O'steen later in the weekend.

Talk about bringing back memories.

All the parts were good, some work around the side lights, and fuel flap, apart from that, had to do very little.
Good lines on the doors and hood
They will sort you out on the postage and are packed well too.
