Question on tool plating color

I would like to re plate my wheel wrench, wrench for the alternator nut and screwdriver shafts, can anyone tell me if the wrenches are chrome plated or nickel plated?

Thanks Lorne M.

You're talking factory tool kit tools?

Clear CAD Plating is what you want...Porsche may have used Silver Zinc originally.

I have used Reid Metal Finishing in Santa Ana, CA for re-plating of fasteners for my 914 restoration and some 911 stuff.

Cheers, Cooper

Flat silver CAD I think. Nickel or chrome would be too shiney. I think they were only plated to prevent rust and silver was the cheapest.
