Looking f r 911 resources
I am the new proud owner of a 71 911T. This is my first Porsche and I would like to gather as many catalogs and web addresses as possible. I am located in Central Kentucky and would also be interested in joining any local clubs. Your resources such as catalog names etc would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Good thinking. Get as much info as possible. These cars are different to most, and althought the basic principles will translate ok, they need special attenti n in a number of areas. You'll like learning about them too if you're like anyone else on this board.
Aside from this site (easily the best resource of all), get the publicati ns Warren described in the oil leak posting. Did he menti n the haynes manual? It's reasonably ok, but doesn't cost too much so is good value. Buy Excellence magazine to stay current. They have all the addresses f r the parts places. The UK equivalent 911 & Porsche World has its moments to , (especially if you like 944's ,...ahem). Try- http://staging.huntinter.G m/johncar/ this is good f r early cars, especially MFI ones. Search back through the old posts here f r good threads. Usually if anybody finds something worthwhile it gets out pretty quick! Enjoy. ------------------ '72 911 TE |
