+1 on the youtube clip, as well as engine bay shot! Thanks again Leon.

After cashing the car at Le Mans, the car was converted to 74 RSR specifications. The car was then sold to Jurgen Lassig who raced the car in Boss as a sponsor but the car was still green. During its stay in Sweden the car competed in the Swedish championships where it won the 1979 Swedish Championships. During the cars stay in Sweden the car received a full 935 body kit and also a 3.5 liter engine that is still in the car today. Believed that at this point the car received a 3.5 liter engine and 935 body work 1980 – 1984 During the early eighties the car was owned by Mr. Anckarberg. The history at this point is very much unknown. 1984 – 1987 During 1974 the car was sold to Mr. Borje Skinner from Stockholm in Sweden. The cars racing history during these two years are also very much un known. 1987 – 1988 In 1987 the car was sold to Chester Wedgewood from Autofarm in the UK by Bo Strandell from Kremer Racing in Germany who acted as the agent during the sale. The selling price to Autofarm was a mere 25000 Pounds. The car was imported into the UK in Jan 1988 with yellow 935 body work which it received while owned by Mr. Lundegaard. During 1988 the car competed in the Intermarque series and in Porsche club modified races where the car did have some success but the car was never fully sorted. During a race at Brands Hatch the cars was rammed by another car. When the car was repaired the original color, viper green was replaced. The car then had another accident at Silverstone and was sold in its crashed state to Sigi Brunn 1988 – 1996 Sigi Brunn then under took a full restoration of the car to original factory specification. The 935 body was replaced with completely original RSR body work with steel flares and original bumpers. During the cars stay at Sigi Brunn the car was raced in various local events and club days. The most prestigious event that it the car was chosen to take part in, was the Tour Auto in 1993. The car returned to the tour Auto in 1994 and 1995. 1996 – Date The car was then sold to its current owner Theo du Toit. He entered the car into the Tour Auto with Sigi Brunn in 1997,1998 and 1999 after which the car was imported from Germany into South Africa. The car has since been seen at some fun days and a Porsche club event but has not been raced competitively. Since 2006 the car history has been researched extensively and various interesting details on the car came to light. After finding the Flymodel of the car we knew that there must be pictures of the car. Fly model was friendly enough to supply us with these photos which are some off the ones seen here at le mans 1973. In 2008 the car won the Porsche club concourse in South Africa after receiving its 1973 livery again. During preparation for the concourse the original seats, seat belts and steering wheel was replaced. A week after the concourse the car was seen at Kyalami on the Porsche club funday.

leon,
here is the spider with the 2.8RSR motor. it is still in sydney and a friend of mine recently purchased it. "1972 URD 676 / Porsche interseries sportscar Also known as the EBS Spider, this car was built in Germany in the early 1970s to compete in the under 3 litre sportscar series and hillclimbs. Chassis is a URD and it is powered by a genuine 2.8 RSR engine ( ex Max Moritz 1973 Le mans car ) and driven through a 400 series Hewland gearbox. The car was sold by Moritz to the USA in 1979 and raced through the 1980s and 90s in SCCA and Historic events ( It was the feature article in the 1993 December edition of Excellence magazine )" ![]()

Am I correct in thinking that you are refering to the Viper Green car on the far right of the photo and not the Foto Quelle car? It is my understanding the the Foto Quelle car is 9114609060 and is a '74 3.0 RSR. Here are some photos of the car as it is today. ![]()

Excellent, close up, drive-by footage (with sound) of this car coming down one of the main staights in Cerda(?) chasing the works RSR in the 1973 Targa. This car iis visible starting at 1:38 in the footage.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vAn5H9lG_34 Damn, those slide valve 2.8 and 3 liter prototype sound just as fantastic as the Ferrari and Alfa twelves! Does the car still sound that good Leon?? For those fans of the Targa F and the cars in it, this is from part 4 of a series of what i think is one of the best documentaries of the Targa, of one of the best years, 1973. The sounds in these are incredible, including some 'in cockpit' footage of from the Ferraris and Alfas Part 1 has a great clip of the 3.0 prototype 'Mary Stuart' RSR hanging it's tail out around a curve at 1:00 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7wcYqL8z0M Part 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh4hc_HbZAM Part 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWIBY6EDOOc Part 5 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZbXA7Qp_QA My French sux. Anyone care to translate what Ickyx is saying in the beginning of Part 4?
