Bosch spark plug id number question
A friend has 12 new bosch plugs to put in his 964. Ten came in a box with ID numbers Bosch Super R6 882 and the two separates have ID Bosch Super R6 791. What does the three digit number signify and are these plugs equivalent? Thanks.

From what I know, it doesn't look like you have an entire part number. Check out the number chart on the Bosch website:
http://www.boschautoparts.com/NR/rdonlyres/C77B3446-232B-4AEC-AFA9-AD05F2A0A2AD/0/DesignationCodes.pdf You might need to look at these further.

All 12 plugs have FR5DTC stamped in the metal ring on the bottom of the plug so I'm going with it. The different three digit numbers are stamped on the ceramic part of the plug and I'm assuming its some batch number.
