Fuchs Center Cap Question
I have some center caps off my 1975 911 that are very dull in appearance. I am trying to find some center caps to use with my new TruDesign Fuchs which are are highly polished. Is it possible to restore the the caps to a high polish myself or does anyone have a name of someone that does this?

You can do them yourself - Much easier than the whole wheel. I started with oven cleaner to remove the anodization and them buffed them to a shine with progressively finer ginding paste from Edmonds. Sandpaper 400-800-1000-1500 then buffing compound might work well too.
Or send them to Harvey Weidman in Oroville CA - his wife will hand paint them after he finishes them to anything you desire. 530-534-7903 They will recreate any wheel you want - any concours situation is just another challenge for them.

How much does Harvey Weidman typically charge (ballpark) for four caps?
