please help !!!!!

hi
I am tring to get info on vin and engin number on the car I am about to buy. The chassis number is 9114102203, the engine 6392095. But it looks that those number do not match. The seller said that it is 3.0 engine but the 1974 did not has it (except rs ). So may be the motor was replaced but if this is the case what kind of motor is this. Also the car has a turbo look with wide body which make me more confusing.
If you have any sugestion please let me know.
