How my bad injector sounds differently
After pulling out plug wires one at a time from each cylinder to confirm that cyl #5 and #6 contributed very little to the engine output, I replaced all 6 injectors.
Then I used a multimeter to measure the resistance of the injectors. All came out with similar values at 36 to 39 ohms, my multimeter had an old battery and old contact points so likely not read accurately. Then I applied 12v DC from a battery charger to the connecting pins of the injectors to see what happen. The injectors all clicked when energized. But injectors from cyl #1 to #4 sounded crisp and loud while those from cyl #5 and #6 sounded a bit dull and remote. All 6 reconditioned injectors for replacement also measured at similar resistance and sounded crisp and loud. Guess the bad injectors probably clogged or had weaker/slower opening stroke. Trivial finding but may be of some help if you doubt you have bad injectors or want to test newly acquired injectors. ![]()

That vid with the squeaking polygraphite bushings was priceless.
