I love it!
There a 934.5 on ebay via Canepa Design with some great pictures including the bottom side. Canepa Design - Photo Viewer The water pump is driven off one of the cams and the turbo drains into the sump plate. Fun! |
vitaloni sebring mod
I was looking at how the different race 934's modified the vitaloni sebring mirrors. I'm sure they did it for all kind of reasons. With the mirrors right on the door as they were made to go there is not much adjustment. And the passenger side mirror is almost useless. I saw where some mirrors were lifted up some with plastic spacers and that helps. Looks like some were mounted with a mirror base like this lovely pink rig.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1270300667.jpg Well I found a base that I think workss ok to get the mirrors up a bit and get more visability and adjustment. Pegasus sells this spa mirror repair base that fits the 5mm hole. I made a small metal plate to give the plastic base of the mirror more support. Used the rubber that came with the vitaloni mirror to make a smaller gasket for the spa base. The main thing is drill a center hole in the door also incase you ever need to tighten the pivot bolt or adjust angle of the mirror, or you will have to remove mirror to do it. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1270301226.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1270301289.jpg Sheet metal backing plates for under mirror base. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1270301482.jpg To do one mirror: cut gasket, back plate, (2) 5mm bolts and loknuts for base (1) 5mm bolt and (2) loknuts for under mirror for support. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1270301978.jpg Small plate and base on the mirror. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1270302180.jpg Works for me , passenger side has much more visability.. |

Looking good!!!

Your mirrors look great. Helluva lot more functional than mine.
Any recent progress? |
update
Not much progress, got 17" rims and R6 Hoosiers. Decided not enough choices in the 16" tires, 16" rims definitely look more correct but oh well.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275056352.jpg The dash area is coming along, have a fiberglass top but thinking of putting the perlon on instead. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275056476.jpg Mounted 25mm 935 style rear swaybar http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275056943.jpg Making up a pair of tabs to connect the front brake hardline to the flex because the stock tabs were removed when the struts were reworked. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275058279.jpg |
Well thought out and way to nice for the track!

Looking good! Love all the 935 bits going in. Thanks for the info on the rennline tow hook BTW
Good decision on going with the 17's, lot more tire options and i see u have gotten a better offset with the new outer rim halves. I actually think the 17's look better on the 934 than the stock 16's ever did, as the 16s were always a compromise (width wise) from the start anyway due to FIA regulations at the time. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1275067934.jpg |
Cut out the rear windshield and made up some straps out of aluminum to hold it in. Also cut out quarter windows and mounted naca ducts.

Very nice.
Is one of the NACAs feeding the turbo? |
I used the Vittoli convex mirror on the passenger side 935 mirror. I had to buy the whole assembly to get the mirror. Works great.
Who did the paint work. |
Harold the paint job was done by a guy out near Denver airport in Aurora CO.
Got the brakes working over the weekend and the car is officially a roller again. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1285192549.jpg Two more weeks and its over to Greg at Eurosport for the engine. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1285194042.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1285194200.jpg Damm getting spring fever already!!!!! |
