Hi Chris, just waiting on the fabwork to be finished on the intercooler and tank and then will bring back home to put all the fuel and oil lines, pumps as well as wiring, instruments, etc.... into car... feels like winters not far off here anway..

Starting to make a little progress again as winter is approaching. The water intercooler and the water tank are in. Water pump still needs to be mounted up.

Alot of fabwork to still be done as well as welding on the lines from the intake to the intercooler and out to the turbo and so forth...... maybe this kit will do it .......

With all the fluid lines yet to run decided to start with the fuel stuff first. Pump is mounted , going to work my way laying out the lines from the rear.

Need to drill for some bulkhead fittings. Running the fuel lines just to the side of the center tunnel passengers side. Will post some more when I get finished with fuel lines and get the oil lines layed out.

I totally forgot you cut out the rear bulkhead area. I'm thinking about the same for mine. I'm just a few steps (read a lot of money behind lol) behind you. Trying to see the pros and cons of it.

Hey Chris, I would only cut out the rear seat area if you are building a dedicated track car. The pro's are easier access to starter, trannie, engine, etc. Not much weight savings if any, my aluminum cover is not much less in weight than what I cut out. And unless you are putting in a cage it probably lessens a small amount the structural integrity in that area not to mention more noise. So if its really more of a street car I'd leave that area alone. L8TR, Tad

Tad, thanks man... Im thinking about it still. I like the idea of the easy access to the tranny, but the down side would definitely be if something blew apart. GrantG has a nice setup, here is a photo I found of it.. Im waiting on him to email me some more photos and hear what he has to say about it...

This is one of those feel good days where you think your getting somewhere on that never ending project. With a five year anniversary on this one coming up in february I'm pushing harder to have this rig runnin by spring. Did some fuel line and oil line routing and so forth. -8an for fuel and -20 supply and -16 return for oil lines, made holes for bulkhead fittings, reworked the original fuel return and feed to the accumalator with steel -8an fittings to hook up fuel lines.

Going to run three front oil coolers since I'm at altitude, can always run with blockoffs in cool weather if necessary. Welded up a frame for the center oil cooler and made a cover screen semi protective cover for the center oil cooler mainly because it so close to the ground . Need to fab up brackets for the side oil coolers next. Also mounted up the scavenge pump for the turbo since doing away with the cam driven pump.

Using a fender oil cooler for my radiator for the water cooling to the intercooler on the passenger side and the tank being directly behind it makes for a short feed on lines. Will draw air from the right side naca duct into the radiator and have a fan I may mount to draw additional air if necessary.

Also mounted the breather tank, oil filter and the thermostat. Will finish hooking those up once I get the outside oil coolers mounted.

I have a quick question I hope you don't mind answering?

I am about to stick some bolt on arches to my Boxster racing car and not sure what type of fasteners to use - do you have some details on the ones you have used for your arches?

Been following with interest from the start BTW, great attention to detail...

Hi Paul, I used small 3mm hex head bolts, couple washers and locknut. Most people use rivets which is probably better for racing in that you can change out a flare piece much quicker. I was having some cracking issues with my flares so went with the bolts so I could vary the tightness and relieve stressed areas around the flares. Hope this helps some, good luck and be patient working with that fiberglass, it can become a mess real quick. Cheers, Tad

Everything pretty tight to line up with the outter air inlets and still be able to connect fittings and hoses. With three oil coolers in series its going to be a challenge to get everything to fit.

Oil coolers are covered to protect the fins with all the in and out for fitment. One side welded up and painted and ready for hoses. Will get the other side done and get going on the lines up front next...
