Throttle Return Springs + Battery Secure for first DE

As always, thanks for the help!

I have a bone stock '79 3.0L motor; doing my first DE in a few weeks. Rec'd the checklist of goodies I need to ensure are working properly and am a little baffled.

The PCA rules call out "Throttle - 2 return springs"; I think I only have one...is the 2 spring return an upgrade? Is this the correct picture? Do I need to change something to work?

I am surprised the PO of this car never secured the battery, everything else was done first class on this car. Long/short - the battery base does not have the ridges for the clip to work...and it doesn't have the clip anyway. I put a WTB for the clip, but is there some cheap type of work around?

Thanks again to everyone for their unparallelled help!

Jeff
