Rear Reflector Paint

Hello Everyone.
I posted this on the Paint & Bodywork Forum - so far no replies.

The inside paint coating is/has flaked in some spots; on the inside of my rear reflector, on my 1980 911SC. Have any of you touched up this paint before? If so, what color or paint code should I use? I prefer to keep the reflection as consistant as possible.

Thank you;
Richard

I know there has been a few threads on this topic. And unfortunately, (maybe and hopefully I'm wrong), I don't think there is such a creature. A lot of folks have tried things but I don't think anything that had any wow factor. Some just tried sliver paint I think. Check threads under the user name Shane Van Wey I think it is, He did some work on a few.

Thank You! The paint appears to be a off white or off pastel white/blue. I do have a beat up spare to experiment on.

Garage
here are the links to the threads for mine. FWIW, I had decent results (IMHO), but they were not factory. Factory uses some sort of reflective coating and then a light greyish top coat (or maybe it is more off-white). At any rate, I also checked with a company that restores antique taillights and they offered no help at all. Good luck with yours. I hope someone finally cracks the code! I ended up doing a blackout treatment on mine for fun.
