Odd front turn-signal wiring issue??

When the parking lights (US version) are on all seems normal (the parking light filament of the 1157 bulbs is lit). When you select the left or right turn-signal the front parking light filament blinks instead of the actual turn indicator filament? Seems odd but perhaps difficult to trace. The turn-signal indicator switch is fairly new. Any suggestions on what to look for? Thanks Darryl

has this problem always existed? did this begin after the signal switch was replaced?

I never really noticed it until I took the lights apart to wire in a city light wire for my new H-4s. I was very careful to run the city lights off the parking/side marker light wire. My turn signal flasher lights on the dash have always blinked together and what seemed to be dull front blinkers, even before I replaced the switch. I had problems with the high-beam part of the turn signal switch, hence the reason to replace it. New switch did not solve the dash indicator lights blinking together?
