2.7 noise level compared to 3.0
Can the vast forum experts help with this query?. Why is a 3.0 power plant so much "quieter" than a 2.7? I have a 2.7 74 targa and a 82 sc. The sc engine has a totally different sound to it, much more solid . The targa sounds like a fast revving race engine. The cat has been removed and it has a 1 in 1 out muffler on the sc. both 911's are stock.
Is it the case? Is it the cylinders? Heads? Thanks

it's hard to explain. it's more just general engine noise than exhaust note. but i would bet that's part of it.
