Hi guys,
I am getting my 84 Carrera out of storage tomorrow, with a few weeks work (evenings) before starting driving season. Planning on changing shift bushings, seat belt, fuel lines (maybe), new gauge bulbs, etc... I must also improve and a valve adjustment I did for first time last fall - I was ok on most valves, but I have two that I must readjust to start the season. One thing I have not been able to complete last fall was a proper closing of the brake pad wear sensor circuit on all four wheels. I have an open circuit somewhere, but I don't know how to track it down. Last year, one brake caliper froze and heat melted the wear sensor. It was simpler for me to remove them so I simply spliced the end wires and taped them together. I did this on all four corners, but I remain with an open circuit somewhere as the red light near ventilation controls in the dash remains " on ". Any suggestion as to how I should proceed to check for the open loop. Thanks. |

Maybe recheck the splices?
