When it doesn't start right away after I work on it; I make myself feel better by saying "I'm priming the oil system".

All of us at the Liars club never do anything stupid.

I seem to remember a certain graduate engineer that had the wrong firing order when he went to start a Model T he restored while going to school. It's one of the few four bangers that doesn't have the usual firing order we're used to seeing now days.
The T ran like a top once that little snafu was fixed by the way.

I couldn't understand why my fresh 3.0l wouldn't start. After trying for days I got my wrench to come over and figure it out. Took us all night to figure out that I (we) didn't know which way the distributor turns and wired it backwards. Duh... but boy was I happy when it started!
