Yeah, I've thought of upgrading the stereo system on my cab once or twice. Nothing that fancy but you but you do need to turn up the volume quite a bit to hear sometimes and my speakers seem to distort with certain music.

Then again, half the time I'm listening to the Zuffenhausen Symphony Orchestra playing Ferdinand's Symphony No. 3.2

So it's been a while since i posted here and thought an update might be in order....

In a somewhat cruel ironic twist, right after the last posts to this thread we were getting the car ready to take through our emissions testing and the engine let go. culprit was 2 year old fuel in the tank and 175k kms on the clock.
Lucky for us a 930 my old boss and i rebuilt the engine on months prior had just been written off and was sitting at the shop. a little bargaining and the engine was ours and we began to strip everything down and get everything cleaned and ready to swap from my worn engine to the new one. keeping with the "while we were in there" bug... we decided to upgrade to 964 cams and Assco Valve springs as well as getting pretty much everything powdercoated. added in a programmable UT Digital WUR, and a Tial wastegate with what we thought was a 1bar spring. So we slowly put the engine together over the summer along with a rebuild of the Trans and factory LSD along with a KEP PP and Organic disc to top everything else off. While in the middle of the build, fate would have it that i was diagnosed with Kidney Cancer and was scheduled in for surgery by the end of Aug so the build had to pick up the pace in order for us to get it done before i went in and was off for months. luckily we got it done and onto the dyno the week before i went under the knife and made 398rwhp and 365lb/ft on what turned out to be a .8bar spring. I got to enjoy the car for a few days before surgery. After a horrendous experience in the hospital I had to putter around my place over the next couple months healing not even being able to sit in the car.
Spring arrived and i was all healed up and it was time to get the car back on the road. took it back to the shop for it's post break-in service before going out to the detailer for a little TLC....

just spent this past weekend diagnosing a blown fuse in the D/S running lights, ended up rebuilding the harness for the driver side headlight/markers as there were some breaks in the wiring causing the short.

only a few little things left before it's done for the next few years... will be building a custom full width IC with a friend of mine and will be doing something different with the wheels. My Koklen Long neck will be for sale if anyone needs one. What's a fair price for them anyways?

Looking forward to a couple HPDE's and just driving her over the summer!
cheers!

Looks awesome. She's begging for aero mirrors and a '94 Turbo S tail now.

Ahhh, typical Vancouver spring weather...

She looks real good. There's something special about a good black paint job - just like liquid. Nice work on the bumper and fabbed in fog lights.

I hope you're feeling better after your health issue. Any cancer is rather scary, I would imagine. Take care.
