recaro sportster cs - anyone?

Anyone have Recaro's new Sportster CS seats?

I see they are the OEM seat for the new EVO and the VW Scirroco. I like their look, but wonderign abut fitment issues and size inside the car.

I am reviving it again, as I am looking at these seats now. I am looking for any insight into feasibility for installing in a 1988 911.

These are my favorite seats from Recaro. Would love to put a set in my SC one of these days. Curious to know if they would fit. Keep us posted.

I like these seat also; they are pricey though; best deal online ~$1,300/pc. My stock leather manual sport seats are ok, wish they were hi-back, but can't be used with harnesses for AutoX/DE.
I looked around and found a race shop that had some Sportster CS seats in stock. The shop was local so I drove over to take a closer look. The seats were llight weight and fairly comfortable but the harness cutouts were too low for me; I'm 6'5" tall. The shop wanted pretty close to >$3k for 2 seats with installation so I decided to pass.

Miraculously, a couple of months later a local guy was selling a pair of no-name reclinable sport seats with harness cutouts for cheap. Thanks Jerry! These look very similar to the sparco milano seats!? It look a little work to get them mounted with my stock sliders but they are finally in.

Now I have some funds remaining to spend on a/c stuff and exhaust.

Too good to pass up posting the photo of the CS seats installed in a 930. Just as good as porn. I have Recaro LS seats in my SC and the OEM sliders bolted right up to them. Sounds like they will do the same to the CS seats. I will have these seats one day. Oh yes, I will...

Jim, i thought I saw a post a while back from the guy who did your seats... I believe he was selling those red & black, quilted sportsters he advertises with. Something like $3k, IIRC.

I noticed that as well. I wasn't too keen on the quilted inserts. Last time I checked, Ron's website was down. Not sure he is still in business. I have too many other priorities for the 911 and my wagon any way. I'm going to keep my eye out for a used pair.

Hi All,

Thought I post some pics of my Sportster CS in this old post. Mounting was super easy. For the drivers side I used the recaro sliders, for the passenger side the original sliders. For both I had to drill 2 additional holes for the seatbelt mount. Super happy with them

I had these in my SC. They are GREAT seats. The only reason I changed was b/c I wanted fixed back to accommodate 6pt harness. They would be at top of my list if I ever need seats again.
