aftermarket seat choice?
My standard seats are a bit tired as drivers side has rip on outer bolster and inner base/side.
To repair panels is not viable as the rest of the seat would look very different and replacement covers are not cheap. I am based in France but think we get the same model Recaros and Sparcos as the USA. I have seen some reasonable recaros in black cloth for under £1,000 GB pounds (pair) - probabley about $1,600 USD which is around the same price of seat covers. I would like a seat which reclines and backrest tilts forward to allow kids in and out of back seats. I am not too bothered about track use, but want something 'sporty' The car is not stock looking hence not being as concerned about origninality when selling. Any reccomendations from experience? Here is a pick of the car and seats Thanks Ben ![]() ![]()

I'm very happy with my Recaro Sportster CS seats. They are pretty expensive though. These are black vinyl with alcantara-ish inserts.
Please forgive the photo which was taken in my poorly lit garage. The white balance is off and the color looks strange as a result. ![]()

There are many different ideas ( and threads) on seats.
Here's a German site for Bielstein B94/30's, see red 911, click on each picture for a larger image---> BF-Autositze zur Ansicht in verschiedenen Fahrzeugtypen

HI Jacob
How did you know the Racaro would fit before you bought it? Did you measure up or did the dealer/shop inform you? My concern is finding out which seat willl fit my car and what runners/accessories I will need? In France or UK there are not many shops who stock these seats as it would also be nice to try before you buy - like trying on shoes I have searched through the recaro and sparco sites and there are a few which are reasonably priced and still have the quality name (so as not to harm resale) I am trying to figure whether I should just drive the car with the ripped seats and sell 'as it' or spend $1,500 to make the car nicer and perhaps help the resale value? Or is it money wasted as it is a personal taste thing? - I am trying to do this on a budget as I have already blown over $10K on getting the car running right! Here is the UK Recaro site RECARO Sport Seats. Thanks

You didn't say either way, but did you completely skip over the Bielstein option B94/30 mentioned? Fine balance point of quality and price, and they are in Europe, too.

Recaro
![]() These are Recaro Sport Toplines. They are not as restrictive as a pure race seat, but are incredibly comfortable and beautiful. There is no slip with hard cornering. They are better for long trips than my Lexus. I sprung for the leather, but would get Alcantera inserts if I had to do it again These are pricey, but worth the investment for the increased pleasure of driving. |

Those Recaro Sportster CS's are THE seat as far as replacing "stock" seats.
Someday. Someday.
