If I may:

Welcome to Pelican and for sharing pics of your 911 on the first shot. Most newbies don't do that.

As far as the spelling and language thing:

I think you'll find that most of the folks that hang out here are a bit older than college age and have therefore been using spellcheck or just good grammar for quite a while. It's not a big deal, you can post anway you choose but what I have found is that you might get a bit more respect if you use proper grammer and less of the "texting" style words.

BTW-I think your car looks pretty cool and I hope it turns out to be a fun experience owning and learning to drive it.

Its cool about the writing...sorry if I offended anyone. I'll just write like when I write to my folks.

90hp...are you serious? And the 911S has 200? Thats a big difference...I hope its really a 911S.

I told you guys I would post engine pics tomorrow when I get off work. This is no set up or plonk...you'll see them tomorrow.

Thanks Mia and G Smith. Those are pretty low HP numbers for a 911S...a couple sites in google say the 911S has 200hp stock.

I'm taking back my "DOH!".

I don't think anyone was offended but we are a close knit community and when a new guy posts we sometimes have to wonder if he's a troll or not.

You should see what happens when a Pelican gets ripped off by someone.

Thanks again G.

Will take some pics of the stereo, but its not much yet...just a CD player and some decent older JL Audio amps and subs.

Ya, I figured Porsches were expensive to fix...but I'm hoping to work on it myself and save money. Glad to find a place that can help me out.

Playa great car of choice, these cars are not cheap..I too am a NEWBIE here.....these guys here are great and very knowledgeable about Porsches, These parts are not like Eclipse or any other JDM cars, they are 3-5 times the cost, so feel free to read up and educated yourself on fellow pelican experiences, there are articles on how to decode/read your vin on the car if your not sure, also what size wheels are those on your car?

I understand your desire to go for the Bad boyz 964 turbo look, but what you have is actually an in progress IROC replica car. If you finished it up, fitting the bumpers a little better, getting new wheels, a new tail, and the H4's you'd have a car any Porsche nut would really like.

The trouble is that with either the 2.7L or the 912E motor your a sheep in wolves clothing.

The good news is that if you do have a 912E, the transmission you have is a 7:31 ring and pinion. So if in due time you make a swap to a 3.0L or 3.2L with carburetor's you will have more low end grunt, than what most 911's of that era have. Some don't like the 7:31 that much because it is more fragile.

I have just spent a lot more than $2,000 getting that car up to snuff, but if you have time and save and build you could have a really nice driving project.

Do some research on the 1974 International Race of Champions (IROC), and take a look at the cars. Here is what I am envisioning your car looking like when it is done.

Oh and get that rust fixed and look a lot deeper for more of it. THe stuff has a tendancy to spread, and what looks like a small problem turns into a big problem real quick.

If indeed you spent $5k on a rusty 912E with a ricer body kit, then I'll just come right out and say what the rest of these guys are dancing around:

You got fscked.

A 912 is NOT a 911. I'd take it back to the used car lot guido and drive it up his ass sideways.

Rich is right and your car would benefit greatly from some IROC Porsche/Carrera graphics, change out the tail and ditch those Fiero-Lamborghini Kit Car wheels. I bet those things weigh 50 pounds each before tires are even mounted.
