anyone with experience with Seinesystem?

As I am close to getting my car back, I am contemplating of adding a spring load shifter to the car. I already have a short shift (although not sure of brand-from PO) set up to a 7:31 915 mated to a 3.2. I saw Seinesystem from Excellence where it may be compatible with my current short shift kit, and so therefore I don't have to spend the extra $350 to $500 for a Rennshift/Wevo. Just wondering if anyone has one of these installed in conjunction with their current short shift setup?
thanks in advance. And yes, I did a search for this particular product but was only able to come up with two nonrelated threads.

I got one installed in my 71 with 901 gearbox. I converted a 915 shifter assembly to a fact. short shift and added the Seine system. It a difference between day and night.

Here is a picture.

Hope this helps.

I've compiled a "few" fairly recent remarks from Pelican and elsewhere re: the Gate Shift kit. Some include discussion of other options for comparison:

Sherwood has kind of said it all. He does have a bias, but he's right. Fine product. Price is right. Be sure all the other parts of your linkage are up to snuff to get the maximum benefit.

I bought one from Sherwood a couple of years ago and have been very happy with it. My wife has no trouble driving with it installed (a big plus for me). I've got the factory short shift on a 915 transmission. Be sure to replace your nylon bushings while you've got it open.

Thumbs up

I have one that the PO installed, I took it off after about two months when I was doing some other maintenance drove down the road, and immediately did a 180 back to the garage and put it back on.

When properly installed and adjusted it does everything but slam you in the head with a hammer to keep you from selecting the wrong gear, if you can't shift right with this thing installed then you should buy a honda...an automatic honda.

I got mine from Sherwood with the short shift already installed and he answered all of my questions during the install. I'm very pleased.

+1 great product, make sure to replace shifter socket and coupler bushings as part of install. Follow the instructions, make a few adjustments to fine tune spring tension. Combined with new bushings, it will dramatically improve your experience with the 915. The shifter remains slow and a bit balky, but not the nightmare-shifting transmission many describe.

Well worth the price and would almost assuredly mitigate the possibility of the dreaded 5-2 downshift!

Have one and it is great. The only thing that makes it better is to replace the oem shift coupling with a WEVO coupling. Did this yesterday and am amazed at the differance.

I love mine - it made a huge difference to the gear change. It feels considerably more positive and has none of that vagueness which it had before I fitted the kit. I don't have a short shift kit installed though, so personally I can't comment on what its like in conjunction with that - although it sounds good judging by what others are saying.

One of the best investments I made to my 911. A very nice kit with great instructions.

You will not be disappointed.

If you're talking about the '72T, I believe it's a Weltmeister short shift.

On my car I installed the same setup you're going for, 915, factory short shift, Seine shift gate, except I added the Wevo Shift coupler as well. The car's shifts are much more precise, and quicker, even thought I'm being pretty gentle with it. Overall I like it, and as everybody else has said, I don't know why the car didn't come with it from the factory.
