Storage lift?

I was reading Pelican posts this morning and saw a banner for this lift. I need storage for my 911 or 356. Don't need to work on them, just storage.

Anyone have experience with Dannmar lifts like this? Price is around $1700

Not specifically Danmar, but I have been using a 4 post lift for over 10 years. Although called a 'storage' lift, it makes working on the car alot easier also.

+1. Everything from brake work at the perfect height to dropping an engine - just put a transmission jack under it and lift the car out of the way - is much easier. Highly recommended!

A 4 post lift is nice but a 2 post lift is more versatile and you can still store a car under the lift.

I know you said the lift wasn't going to be used for vehicle repairs however: There may come a day when you want to work on your car so,,
In my opinion, a 4 post lift isn't very practical if you have to work on the wheels/brakes/suspension as the car sits on 4 wheels within the 2 ramps. A 2 post lift with the supporting arms under the car allow you to easily remove wheels to work on those components

Frankly, have both and most work is easier with the 4 post. I just raise it to work height, use a small jack to 'jack up' what I am working on, and the lift provides a built in work surface.

I have a 4 post lift from RHILifts, local company, they delivered and installed.
Like others originally just for storage, but it's been great to work on the car, I have also picked a bridge jack.

does anyone have a lift fitted into a standard 8 foot ceiling?

I read through the info for the lifts but was not able to locate place of manufactured. Anyone concern with USA vs other areas of manufacturing?
