Where does this hose go??

I was cleaning up the garage and I found an extra hose which was not reinstalled when I put my engine back in.
Sorry I do not have any pics at the moment, but IIRC it is about 3-4' long and braided (black).

I am pretty sure one end goes to the front of the carbon filter on the pass side of the engine compartment, but if that is teh case, where does the other end go?
(78 3.0L)
Thanks for your help, J.

I have one of those hoses on my 1975 - I don't know if it is the same or not. Mine connects to the engine shroud on the driver side. It runs behind the CIS and plugs into a bright chrome connector that sticks out of the engine shroud on the drivers side, and up underneath the CIS airbox. You have to look for it.

Thanks Rex, I will have to look tonight but I do not recall anything connecting to the shroud.

Do you have a pic?

DO you know what it is for, fumes or?

Rex thanks agian for the pic.
Man, I will look when i get home but I am 99.9% certain I do not have fitting like that on my shroud.

Any idea where else it might go if I do not have that fitting?

My 77 has the same bung on the fan shroud. A hose from my charcoal canister runs to it. Rex is correct. I would imagine your 78 is the same way. Good luck.
