How would you fix this and how much would it cost?

Estimating body work based on pics is nearly impossible.

I would suggest contacting the nearest high-end body shop in your area to get an estimate.

You don't want a crappy repair on a car of this caliber.

I am not 100% sure but that seems like quite a bit for something that may need to be parted out ... If it was an easy fix wouldn't the seller fix and then sell on ....

Would be a donor candidate as far as I am concerned ...

So the car is $34,000 to buy. Plus $10,000 give or take to fix - that's $45,000.

Now remember that you are going to get a 25% plus hit for the salvage title to sell it and it may not ever be a vehicle that most people can finance due to the salvage title.

Probably one to pass on unless you can do this yourself (free plus used parts) and don't mind the big $$ for the salvage title.

I had foot surgery and am in a cast , will get next cast tomorrow.

I'd still run , not walk , away from this one . (And I enjoy doing builders)

Sage advice from Angela (again).

The fact that the pass side front wheel was replaced makes it appear that it took enough of a hit to do damage there. That could mean significant damage to the steering, driveline, chassis etc. Would need a close inspection in my opinion to determine ballpark cost. Good luck though.

yes +1 more on the above doing the maths and adding a safety margin budget wise on its not worth it.

I took on a similar project (granted not a 911 cab) and assumed the shifted wing cracked the windscreen but in the end it was a massive chassis twist mainly inner wing and strut turret and a/b pillar. Prob is modern cars absorb damage not withstand it and with a cab i'd want to be very sure it was going to be 100 percent!

These always look like a good deal because of the price and over time you'll get a great car but infact you're better waiting longer and saving for a nicer one!

Why not just drive it as-is? You'd have a unique Porsche with an interesting story.

This car has to be worth 45k when intact. If it was totaled, doesn't that mean that the price to repair it is more than $45k? Unless you can do most of the work yourself, I'd pass.

Looks like it is in Rancho Cordova, CA now. How many people got burned already on this car making its way from TX?

Send it down-under...

Thats a $150K car here! ($130k the way it is!)

Cost to repair is the same regardless of geographical mis-fortune :-b

Salvage title means it will never have good resale.
