All over the world, Pelican Board members are gathering for one reason or another. Be it drivers ed, autocross, or swap meets. The problem is, we don't know who each other are.
Wayne, only you can help, in you own special way, by selling us more stuff. Sell us baseball caps. Sell us T-Shirts. Sell us license plate frames. Sell us coffee cups. Please Wayne, help us pick each other out of a crowd. Thanks, Tom ![]() |

The Super Secret SC Society or SSSCS all have Pelicans tatooed on their armpits. Hurts just thinking about it.

I'd sure buy a hat and a t-shirt. If you guys even had a nice magnetic racing sign, I'd probably throw one on the car for autocross...

The magnetic logo is a great idea. I figure I owe you some advertising in exchange for this BBS!
By the way Wayne...thanks for the donations to our RMR/AMR Drive for a Cure Driver's Ed Silent Auction! We had a great weekend of driving in beautiful weather!! Nick. ------------------ _ _ __ _ _ Nick Shumaker 1982 911SC Coupe nickshu@yahoo.com PCA -- Rocky Mtn. Region |

RSTOLL!
You better not be starting a SC secret organization without apporval from the "SSSDSSCS"!!! (Super Supreme Super Dooper Secret SC Society... "Sssssssseses" for short) You do not have proper clearance. As Monty Python would say: "SPLITTERS"!!!! |

Okay gang,
As a photoshop nerd, I will take a crack at a magnetic sign design, I will submit them for your approval. Then I guess we could order them in bulk blank and just use the peel and stick numbers... Randy ------------------ Friends don't let friends drive RICE! 1978 911 SC |

Since you're not in your cars and simultaneously socializing, I'd say the best thing for these events is a t shirt or hat, not a magnetic number for the car.
And I think the t shirt should emphasize the board, more than the company's part sales, with "Pelican Parts Bulletin Boards" prominent, and "pelicanparts.com" down below. Also a distinct color, like the blue of the bird's nest, would make the things recognizable in a crowd (which is the object, right?). So, a distinct, blue t shirt with "Pelican Parts Bulletin Boards" prominent, and "pelicanparts.com" down below that, so people know where to go to find the community (and the part sales, too). On the back, you could have something cryptic, like "Friend of Warren Hall." Wayne,
A quick web search shows that ther is a T-shirt silkscreening place about 2 blocks from Pelican Parts. I bet they can make them for you. How about it? Tom |

I like the license plate frame. I am often in Seattle and whenever I see a 911 I wonder if its someone from the board.
I was going S. on I-5 last week when someone in another type of car (Honda maybe?) waved and nodded aproval. Must have been a 911 fan. ------------------ Rob Fix '78 SC Targa |

I'd buy a hat, as long as it is one of the nice quality cloth/washed denim ones with a real clasp, not one of those plastic thingees.

I too think it is a good idea...but Wayne hasn't chirped in by now he's probably thinking that he has much better things to do with his time.
Maybe if there is enough interest in T shirts someone could get permission from the big "W", and go ahead and create a design, take orders from people, then get a quote from a place and make the order. |
