Thumbs up Projekt 906 anyone?

I just won this on Evil-bay...

I wasn't planning on doing something like this but the opportunity presented itself. What do you guys think?

I guess Im gonna have to start tracking down info about these cars. Anybody have any 906 doors?

If all you got was a front clip, it would make nice wall art.....

Was there more to it?

Cheers

Nice front clip. Is that a replica part or is it factory?
Here's a couple of pictures I took at Keels n Wheels this March of a Local Houstonians' 906.

Ok, picked up the nose and it was as advertized. overall very good finish.
It is not a factory part, rather pulled from molds taken from a factory piece.

Thanks for link John, I have been on that site before but couldn't find it. Randy sells the Kraftwerks bodies from down under. I am checking on pricing and have calls out on info on some details of the 906.

Here's an old thread I saved of a 910 clone, the guy who made the car was up in the bay area:

910 clone!

Please keep us posted, this could become an awesome project if you build it up.

Really! Not that I have any money but I think $100K on a well built 906 replica would be money well spent. Beautiful car that must be a ball to drive.

No doubt about the expense! I have a call out on the 910 uprights that were done in magnesium just in case I do not find or like the Lotus set-up....wonder what that will set me back. Here is a link on part of the 910 project.http://www.emicroscribe.com/casestudy/porsche%20907.htm

And thanks for the vote of confidence Dave, hope to see you at Ventura.

What the hell???
I thought you were headed in a direction that included two more cylinders.
I know where you can get an engine.

You know, that was the ]THIRD engine I thought about.
The first was a 2.65 SS MFI and the second was the 2.8SS MFI

Care to post a pic of the 2.8SS which happens to be my favorite one in house right now?

Short stroke 2.8 in a 906, pleeeeeease!
There must be some rule of law somewhere in the world.

If we're being crazy why not a 3.4 high butterfly?

Take your pick!!! 2.0, 2.5, 2.8, 3.2SS, 3.4 high buttery, 3.5
