Sourcing a metric bolt...

So this should be easy, right? I need:

Metric Allen Head Cap Screw
12.9 Hardness
12mm threaded diameter
1.5mm thread pitch (fine)
30mm total length (35 mm is fine also)

Our host does not have them, boltdepot.com does not have them and I think I am about to strike out at mdmetric.com!

Any other suggestions?

N 010 116 1 is an M12 x 1,5 x 28, most likely an 8.8 property class zinc plated with trivalent chrome conversion coating

All the 30s are NLA from Porsche

Why the 12.9 property class?

Here is one from McMaster 91180A747, it's an 8.8. Gonna be a Chinese headmark, maybe Taiwan also.

Don't try this http://www.mcmaster.com/. No luck there for an allen head that works.

I checked the Wurth Catalog...no joy.

BTW, what are you fastening with M12 Grade 12.9 hardware...the wing of an F-14 Tomcat?

LOL - this is for the Big Brake adapters I have on my 911. I suppose that 12.9 could be given up as a last resort.

Thanks for looking! I know these exist as I have four of them in my hands (although 35mm long which works but is not ideal). However, two of them are ruined.

McMaster has some check here

I do not know if these are what you are looking for. Probably the pitch is not correct.

Thanks for taking a shot at it. These are 1.75 pitch, and finding the 1.5 (fine) pitch has been the real challenge with these.

25mm and 45mm available here with zinc chromate finish (bottom of page):
http://www.eagleday.com/sohebo.html
Not exactly what you need, but you might contact them. Or, cut down the 45mm.

I had a similar issue with finding the rear bolts when I put on 930 brakes. I couldn't find an allen head bolt either. A hex head bolt was available so I went with that. If you can't find an allen head you might try a hex.

The hex actually worked better on my 911 trailing arm. The lower bolt is a pita to get to.

I bet a machine shop turn a hex bolt in to an allen head or similar.

Automotive fasteners here in Greensboro, NC has never let me down. Is this what you are looking for?

Oops, that one is coarse and I see you are looking for fine thread. Sorry!

Oh, sorry, you're right. I saw all of the M12s above that and missed the details.
Edit: Duh, there aren't even M12s on that page. I'm going blind.

Looks like the have the M12 in the right lengths but coarse thread only...

Thanks - I may just give up and use the one 8.8 and one 12.9 on each caliper
