Red face 87 Carrera caliper o-ring?

Hey guys,

You know the o-ring that goes between the 87 Carerra caliper halves, the ones you're not supposed to take apart?

Well a friend sent a set of calipers out to be powder coated and the coater took the halves apart (oops!). So now he needs a full set for his car. IIRC someone had sourced these in the past when a similar problem happened.

Any leads on these?

Thanks!

Bill,

These are the single-piston versions on the 87. Is that part universal?

those were available back in the day when Porsche sold caliper repair kits, IIRC they were used on L, M and A calipers

I don't even know if they are available any longer

Sorry about the edit, I accidentally hit it instead of quote

I hope so too, haven't seen them.... I imagine that would be a deal breaker, haha... Not even sure WHY they felt the need to take them apart to be honest, but who knows....

You're welcome!
