New Member, what a great group!

I bought this 78 911 SC from a close friend making me the 3rd owner of this Ca. sold and based Targa. The previous owner had put some $$$ in to it which included the custom paint , chrome wheels, Targa top restoration, new rubber and whailtail. Interior is in great shape for it's age with no tears or major wear.

I have only made a few changes which included stereo, speakers, cleaned up the engine compartment, new Momo steering wheel from a Dino and few coats of wax which it didn't really even need, but I couldn't help myself. Also ran it through a complete service.

I have only been roaming this site for a short while but I must say, I am impressed with the camaraderie that has been displayed. I have inquired about a few things and someone has always answered. It's nice to know that people with a common interest can communicate like friends even though they are complete strangers.

It makes me feel welcome, so thanks!
I look forward to being a part of the group.

Nice car and welcome Scooter. I surely do not want to offend you but your little beauty is screaming out for some Fuchs. Welcome to Pelican and please register her at the SCWDP registry as well (see my sig below). You are now a fellow Plotter... (SUPER SECRET handshake extended)

Nice car and welcome to Pelican.

I ran those same style wheels for a while on mine.

Got bored with them and went back to Fuchs

Thanks Shane, I registered on May 30 in fact. I am not offended at all, they are on my list. I'm not sure what possessed the previous owner to change them out but until I pick some up, at least I can roll. Thanks, look forward to being one of the gang.

Welcome fellow targa owner, nice car. I to am a recent member and this place is great..Yes the fuchs would look nice as Shane said. Did your targa bar come like that in 79 or was it still black? Looks good.

Beautiful car, great paint & nice garage although something is blocking my view of those legs! You're in. Welcome to the obsession. You'll find all the help you need here.

What is this SC thing you speak of?

Thanks again for the part(s). Sent payment to you.

Don Gilbert,
To the best of my knowlege, this 78 SC came with the chrome trim and stainless Targa bar. Have a sales brochure showing same model with chrome and SS.

Thanks for the comments.

+1 those wheels are cool, but they're just too clean, Scooter1! Get 'em dirty.

IMO brushed finish or anodized wheels really pull together a car with a brushed Targa bar.
