short or long hood
hi does anyone know the difference between a long and short hood what the dimensions are to.thanks

"Long hood" = early (up to 1973) 911
"Short hood" = mid year and subsequent 911s This is my understanding anyway, and you're not alone - it confused the heck out of me too!

The basic tub kept the same dimensions all the way through the 964 (1994). But there were lots of smaller changes along the way. Federal bumper legislation in 1974 meant a shorter hood and a better bumper.
