Intermittent stalling issue
Ok, I've been searching with the keyword "stalling" and can't find a thread that has the same issue I'm having. I'm at the end of my wits trying to figure this one out. 82SC fresh rebuild, new vacuum lines on most of the CIS, will do them all eventually. New plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Runs great now that she's got 1
k on the new engine. Lately, after cruising at highway speed for a few miles, and after the car has gotten up to operating temp, when I get off the ramp and come to a stop she stalls. It will fire right back up with a blip of the key and run perfectly. It will do it rarely when I am just going through the gears in regular traffic and come to a stop as well. I have the decel valve disconnected as it hangs the RPM's too high, but that's another issue I'll work on later. Been told many people never hook them up even when they function well, so i don't think that's my problem. Any ideas as to what to check next would be appreciated, If you need more info let me know. My "diagnostic" toolbox is also somewhat limited. I DO NOT want to go back to the mechanic anymore, so I've got to figure this out. Thanks to all in advance for any suggestions.
