Juan,
I dont know how many miles you have on those shocks, but if may be time to replace the whole shock.

Is that because the way they look? I hope they're still good because I just purchase them for an experiment

it can be done - you'd first try the manf. of the shocks, then try a large bushing maker/industrial supply house

what happens when you poke them with a sharp stick?
(i.e. are they really bad?)

Try your local Autozone, Pep Boys,NAPA, Etc. I know I have seen generic ones at NAPA, in fact you reminded me that I need to go get some to replace the worn out ones on my 4X4 pickup!
