Fixing a bent strut?
Not sure exactly what happened, but the lower part where the ball joint slips in is bent. So it isnt linear from the top of the strut insert axis to the ball joint axis.
The alignment could probably be set ok when the wheels are straight, but weird things may happen during cornering. Anybody ever straighten something like this out? Maybe put a pipe on it, heat it up, and see what happens? Leave it alone and see what happens?

I'd take it to an alignment shop that isn't a chain....

JB is on top of it. I had a bent strut and Steve Alarcon of Johnson's removed, aligned and re-welded it perfectly

What kind of strut do you have? I bought a complete suspension from somebody a year ago, I refinished the Boge struts, tried to slide my Bilstein inserts in, but couldn't because they were bent. I emailed Chuck Moreland at Elephant Racine about it and he said he couldn't fix them, throw them away. I emailed Clint at Rebel Racing and he said he could definitely fix them, but that was because he had straight Boge tubes laying around.
