Post Calling all Cars!!! well at least the yellow ones?

I am guessing that there arent many people out there that own "yellow" 911's? I am in the midst of a full bare metal repaint in Talbot Yellow and was wondering if everyone/anyone with a yellow 911 would post some pics for me? Even if it isnt the far superior "Talbot Yellow" (just kidding if course).

This would really help me keep my spirits up during the process. I am happy to report that I am finally putting things back ON the car now...... Bout time.

Thanks to all that can help.

Ben

there are yellow 911's out there. im sure others will post their pics as i don't have any good ones yet. I went with a dodge prowler yellow (don't hate me) because it just looks sweet on the car.

The first time I ever heard of this color was an ebay auction that started last week: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=591956139

Ben,

Great to hear that you've gone with the Talbot Yellow. It's a great colour! For those of you who aren't quite familiar with Talbot Yellow have a look here.

Keep us all updated Ben. I'm hoping for some good weather this weekend so that I can get a few of those pictures you asked me for done. It's been fairly overcast and rainy for some time here (Melbourne).

Regards,

AC

Cool

Now you're talking my language! One of the reasons I bought my 73.5 T was because of the color (Light Yellow), not in spite of it. For one, it's VERY BRIGHT, which means I stand less chance of being broad-sided by the moron in the SUV with the cell-phone glued to his head. Secondly, it looks great (I think) with the combination chrome and black trim. Third, because it is old it's OK. Personally, I'd probably have a hard time driving a 996 TT in the same color. Luckily, I probably won't ever find myself in that predicament!

Jguthr,

Very nice car and I like the reasons!! I happen to have a 1974 that is the same color. Yellow was not my first choice, but I can't tell you how many times someone in the neighborhood says "Oh that's your little yellow sports car".

The only bad thing is that since it's the only little yellow sports car around, I have to watch it with the speeding. It's not like I can say "Oh no officer that was some other yellow 1974 911 with Carrera written on the side!!!"

Anyway I love the color now.
