RSR Fuch question
In pics of the real RSR Fuchs it appears the outer lip of the wheel is polished. But, it's hard to tell if this is a high polish (mirror), or the polish you would get stepping from 600 - 2000+ sandpaper but not a final buffing?

RSR finish on the lip is polished and clear anodized.
These are Harvey Weidman refinish. ![]() These are the original finish prior to Harvey's work. ![]() |

Everytime I see a pic, the lip looks almost "satin", not quite a mirror finish. But, you're saying it's a high polish? Maybe it's the anodizing that makes it look not quite mirror, or just the pic itself.
Thanks! (wheel looks fantastic by the way) Todd

Yes, that is correct.
The wheels are double anodized. First for the frosted finish, than the lip is polished and then the wheel is clear anodized the second time. This is why this look costs what it does. Hope that helps. |

Harvey polishes the lip to a mirror finish first, then it anodized so it is more satin. The pedals and remainder of barrel are polished rough so when anodized they are "frosted". The remainder is black paint.
Here is one of his guys polishing the lip ![]() Here is one being sent to the anodizer, note the rougher middle and polished lip ![]() Here is an outer barrel from a 3 piece Zuffenhaus Fuchs replica that is finished in RSR look. ![]()
