Porsche's are 30mm fittings on the thermostat. Lot of info on the elephant racing site. Cheapest adaptor from Porsche to -16AN (female to male AN) was sold by Patrick Motorsports when I did mine a few years ago. Autosports Engineering (Len) out in MA sells custom fittings and lines if you want to use Porsche fittings with factory style lines. In that case, he sends you the ends and the hose, you index and mark everything and send them back to him for swaging the ends on.
If you use AN.....common thinking is -12AN is restrictive and -16AN is comarable to factory, if not slightly bigger. Hope that helps, Doug Doug

There are a few oil lines posted on the used parts website.
Why are you considering flex lines? pm me. Good luck, Gerry |

BAT has a reusable 30mm fitting that will fit in AN-16 hose. You can buy hose, cut to fit and install the fittings on the ends. Depending on the cooler you will be using, I bet you can get an-16 fittings for the cooler. Then you would need two 30mm hose ends and two AN-16 hose ends. And of course...the hose. I just went down this road but I had my factory hard oil lines so I only had to buy enough hose to get from the passenger fender to the cooler in the nose.
Another option would include the 30mm to AN-16 converter fittings and then source reusable, used AN-16 fittings from ebay. sometimes you can find a good length of hose with the fittings you need for a decent price. good luck and post some pics of the project!

I get the impression that the braided lines are not ideal--that they do a lot more heat-insulating than do the bronze/brass factory lines or the finned Elephant lines. So you may actually be defeating your basic purpose--oil cooling--even though they look trick.

John,
with the time constraints you have, Im gonna have to punt and just recommend Elephant Racing. They can make anything you need and you know it will be done right. http://www.elephantracing.com/oilhandling/hoseends/911hoseends.htm

If you are on a budget you can get everything you need at summit racing for about 200-250 and install in an afternoon if you had hard lines already then you dont have to add brackets you can reuse the ones you have.

you can splice into the factory lines with a 7/8" compression filling sold at home depot in the plumbing department. i just cut and spliced into my trombone a few minutes ago.

Start here and get your hose ends for 12-16 an hose http://www.summitracing.com/search/Department/Fittings-Hoses/Section/Fittings-Plugs/Part-Type/Hose-Ends/?Ns=Rank|Asc 20 foot of hose will do I used 12 but and my oil temps stay right at 180-200 degrees but some feel 16 an is better. I got my adapters for the thermostat from Patrick racing but to have them by the 31st you will pay for expedited shipping I would call BAT and tell him what hose you have ordered and what you are going to and ask them to get them in the mail right away I think they will work with you here is the page for the adapters the number is on the page and they are real nice people. http://64.202.180.37/files/metric.pdf Good luck. Jerry

Will this work for connecting the rear thermostat into an RSR type cooler up front with -12 AN fittings? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-230220/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-220290/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SUM-220287/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/EAR-9919GFRERL/ I'm purchasing 2 of everything but the hose itself. --John
