I think you guys are missing the fact that the rear alignment settings did not change before and after. They were not adjusted.

The only significant change was to front toe, and that was a small amount. It also went towards more toe-in, which would numb down the steering if anything.

I also disagree that 300 miles is necessarily enough to break the tires in. It depends on how it was driven. You need to put some lateral scrubbing on the tires, and even more importantly, get them up to the right temp. Some canyon carving, an autocross, something like that will do the trick.

Regarding tire scrubbing - I am now noticing that the problem is working itself out as I put more miles on the back tires. I will still seek an allignment from a Porsche friendly shop to fix the rear camber issue, and may request more toe-in front and back, but that is the call of the guy with the rack/street experience. BTW - The Toyo Proxis 4 tires are not expensive and I've found them to be great street tires, so I may as well get two front tires and save the others as emergency spares.

I'll add that scrubing the tires in only seems to help a little. When I had old fronts and newer rears, the nervousness never really went away. It got a little better, but that was about it. Not until I bought a set of four brand new tires did the car feel normal again.
