Is this decal in the right place???

Has anyone seen this sticker before and is it in the right place? I have seen many pictures of 911's and have not seen this sticker before. Strange that the previous owners of my car cut the doors to place those awful tweeters but never took this sticker off!
Thanks,

Can't be(?). I'm guessing it attaches inside the glovebox or under the sunvisor? If you do a search, there is another thread showing the same decal attached to a metal surface.

Looks like 928 drivers were not only not skilled enough to shift their own cars, they also had some problems just starting them.

Thanks,

Cut the doors up, and also mangled up those gauges good.

Yes,

They used that sticker when it was new and that's where they put it. On a used car, you can sometimes see a little of the glue residue from the perimeter of the sticker, still on the glovebox door.

Just because it had a 928 part number on it doesn't mean they wouldn't use it on a 911. There a lot's of parts like that...

Arrow

My car has the same sticker on the back side of the driver's sunvisor. I'm assuming it's original...

We took factory delivery of our '86.

It never had that sticker anywhere on the car.

Good luck,

Gerry

I also took delivery of a new '86, here in the US. It had the sticker, as did another '86 I bought later.

Maybe that stick goes with the armrest.

(Sorry - couldn't resist. Actually, I think the armrest looks good.)

Well at least I'm not alone in having the sticker. I was worried it was covering some type of blemish. So some of you had it on the visor?? Any one else have it on the glove box like mine? My car was originally sold in Indiana. I wonder if the selling dealers maybe took them off? Thanks for all the responses!

Thanks.
I think I will keep the sticker on, its listed as NLA on our sponsors parts site. It will probably tear apart if removed. Now if I could only cover those tweeters!
