Welcome!

Where are you located? The rural pic looks like a childhood memory of mine from a small village in the deep woods close to where Astrid Lindgren lived here in Sweden.

Hello all, I think to check the oil I am going to have to change it any how, this will give me a fresh start. One member suggested that the oil level will not change in the few seconds it takes me to get the dipstick out after the car stalls. this is what I guessed but wanted to be sure. Also another member thinks the idle at warm temp. is to low which is causing the car to stall when i remove the dipstick cover, so i am looking at increasing the rpm speed at idle. Just bought the car, [my first porsche] and this will be my first weekend to explore her. Thanks Philip 87 911, 87 560 sl
