Temp Guage Adjustment
It seems that my temperature guage is running 40-50 degrees below the actual temperature of the oil. I used the coresponding Temp/ohm chart that EarlySMan posted in the past. This is what has lead me to believe that my guage is not working properly.
Is there any way to adjust this guage reading?

Are you still using the original 75 gauge with your 3.2? How about the sender?

I have a brand new sender in the engine made for the number guage. Even when I ground out the sender wire (Green/black) my guage is just below the 300 mark instead of max out above it.

I have a similar problem - the needle in my guage reads a bit too high. For example, the "totally cold" reading is halfway through the white box, and "normal" is right at the top of the box. Doesn't look right top me.
Anyone know if an adjustment can be made somewhere? |

chrishevey,
If your gauge/sender unit are original to the car, you may want to pull them for calibration. Assuming they calibrate O.K., it would be a wiring/connection issue. Good luck, Gerry ps. My wife and I have enjoyed Bletchley Park on numerous occasions. has anyone ever found the "buried silver"? pm me. |
