this is a great candidate for a search -- there have been many threads and thousands of posts on this before

some points to consider:
1. polish has different meanings, so be sure to find out if they mean fine abrasives in it or just chemicals
2. ask your painter if you should wait more than 30 days before doing anything!
3. Meguiars is good and not too spendy

wax

I use Wizard's products. Great results. I got hooked on their metal polish for my rims. It is a cotton candy like substance that was hard to believe worked but my rims glow. so i checked out their Shine Master polish and am very happy with it.

I like the P-11S pure carnuba for the p-car. No Residue at all, water beads great. Lots of great products other than that also.

+1 on the P21S wax and their other products. I recently used their polish and wax on my 993 and am very happy with the results.

after reading the above link, I decided to look for zymol. then I read more and tried "Black Magic" at autozone. It works well. It's been on my car for over a month, I think, and still there.
WAX TEST!

Zaino may be a waste of money. You decide.

Meguiars has good performance at a reasonable price point. Their products range from economical to professional, and include both traditional waxes and polymers.

I used to use Autoglym on the Aston Martin before I sold it. It's what Rolls Royce and Aston recommend. I used the gloss and super resin. Amazing results.

I have a 5 foot paint job and now use Zaino AIO which looks great. I will not switch as it's expensive and I know how to use almost all of their products. There are lots of very good products, buy one and stick with it so you get to know how it works.
Good luck.

I have always used Meguier's polishes. I have a cousin that swears by Zaino.
Someone tell me: Does Zaino make a wax? Their web site isn't real clear on that.
As for wax, I've been using Zymol since I got my first Porsche. I'm going to try P21S though.

Best wax

I bought the kitchen sink from Zaino. Stripped the old wax and applied per Zainos instructions but could not get it to dry. It always left greasy streaks. Called Zaino and they said to use even less wax. So I tried again. Same results. Stripped the old wax and tried again using so little wax it was barely visible. It still left greasy streaks. I never did solve the issue, though Zaino was always quite helpful.

Tried the Meguires Tech Wax and a year later ......
