Newbie 3.2 Liter Start-up issue
Hey all - need a little help! Well, alot of help actually.....
I have a '75 Carrera with an '86 3.2 liter engine in it - problem occurs just after starting - engine starts up fine but then seems to bog down - almost like it's drowning itself. It chugs for a few minutes and then settles down to a proper idle. This sometmes occurs when driving but primarily after start-up. I've checked for vac leaks - found and corrected a couple - but there is obviousy something I'm missing. Also getting copious amounts of smoke after it settles down. Any suggestions? Thanks for your help.

How do you have the vent hose for the oil tank ran? Are you using the hose from the 3.2? Can you post some pics? I'll try and help, I've got a 87 3.2 in mine but I'm running megasquirt so I may not be able to help in the ecu dept.

Cylinder head temp. It's on the front (trans side) of the #3 head. It plugs in at the connector on #3 intake runner.

Check out Part #: 930-606-915-00-M14 in the pelican catalog. There is a technical article linked under the Notes tab.
