Wink Couple Easy Questions

Hey Guys,

I am pretty new to 911s. Oh yeah its a '82 911. What is that switch for? Its not connected. I am wondering if I should try to?

What is that cylinder part of also? It was in the driver's side wheel well.

What am I missing here?

Thank you very much!!!
Gene

1. switches your electric mirror adjust to one side or another. (upside down is confusing) or your sunroof.

2. some AC, do hickey, heavy and needs to be removed . that round window is where you see the health of the AC charge (?)

3. your stock CDI box goes there. where did it go?

Talking

Thanks a lot guys for the fast replies!!!

I should have figured out the brown switch. The car does have, well did have a sun roof. It was welded.

But I do love how the car was stripped out to lighten it for the track but that black cylinder was not removed and the lines. I did suspect it was an AC component. I did removed it. After some oily looking fluid came out of one of the lines I got a bit worried. But its all good now.

CDI box. The PO would know... I surely don't have it. I hope it a pretty inexpensive part...

Thanks a lot guys!!!

If the CD is gone then the PO used a different type of ignition system, whats there, maybe a MSD?

Well, that car was supposed to get a 3.6. I got it with no engine, going with a 3.0. So will have to get all the parts...

CDI box. If the car runs, then there is another spark system in place. Might take a snap of the whole engine bay.

That black cylinder is AKA the "receiver drier". If you're going to strip out the A/C system to save weight, there is also a condenser under the front bumper and a bunch of equipment (evaporator and blower) under the carpet in the front in the "smuggler's box".

Hahaha Vash, thanks for the entire car picture tutorial, LOL

I probably wont be able to get a shot of the whole car, its in the garage. But here is the Pelican listing of the car. I didn't get the 3.6, the cash was allocated elsewhere.

1982 SC Roller $4500

No, no engine, but there is the transaxle!!! Its a good start!!!

Yeah, the condenser is gone, so is whatever was in the smuggler box.

Thanks guys!
