H4 assembly install issue

I am upgrading my lighting and scored a pair of H4 assemblies. I have removed everything from the bucket and ready to install the new assemblies but the mounting screws on the assemblies do not line up with the mounting holes in the cars buckets. What do I do? The car is an 82 SC

Thanks

your h4 should have 1 mounting hole at 6 oclock and will go into the same hole at 6 oclock that the sugar scoops mounted to if you have more mount holes than that you have the wrong lights, please post a pic and we will help you figure out what you have, also see the tech section on upgrading to h4 it should answer most of your questions.

feel free to pm me and i'll send u my number you can call and i'll see if i can help or steer you in the right direction ... steve.

The H4 assembly hooks over the top lip of the bucket first and is then secured with one screw at the bottom as mentioned above. Getting the one screw to find the small metal tab that it screws into can be a little tricky. Make sure the screw is seated properly before tightening. Cheers, John

You may also need to bend that little tab at the bottom, to get the screw to align properly.
