The sounds of Monterey
So I figured that posting more pictures of the Historics wouldn't help the people that couldn't be there so I posted an audio recording that I did at the base of the Corkscrew. I struggled trying to capture the right sound until they opened up the Mazda walkway/bridge that is in an acceleration zone right after the Corkscrew. Here I could grab the sounds of the Group 7B cars as they went through their warm-up practice without have to hear the announcer talking all the time over the loudspeakers. If you listen closely, you can hear the turbo whistle as the 935s go by.

Click on the blank area below the 935 photo. I think the flash player versions have compatability issues with my Vista 64 etc. system.
I just clicked around and the sounds started playing. Make sure your speakers are on.
