A/C Condenser Question
Apparently when my '78SC was ordered the original owner opted not to have the factory A/C, but then it was added later by another owner. When it was added, only the rear deck condenser was installed and since I don't know what the factory front condenser/pan mounting should look like (can't find it the parts manual), I was wondering if a front condenser can be added on my car? Is there supposed to be an enclosed panel or pan accessible by a cover plate, etc. or was that underbelly pan style only used on cars ordered from the factory w/ A/C?

The front condenser was mounted between the front a-arms right up under the front of the trunk. In cars that came from the factory with a/c, there was a cutout, approx 6" x 4" and inside the trunk was a cooling fan.
You don't necessarily have to route that in as many have added another condenser in the rear driver side wheel well and added a fan there with great cooling success. You might search that and see what you get.
