Need some color ideas...

I have been putting together potential plans at a "speedster" inspired project with my 83 cab. I am trying to do this on as tight a budget as possible, but still look good. I have pretty much resolved myself to having to do a repaint as part of the work, but I wanted to see if some collective genius can help me come up with some alternatives. The thing is my car has a lot of rock chips on the front now (too much driving I guess). Part of my plans have bounced back and forth between RS look vs. ST look. I lean towards ST flares at this point. I want something a bit rogue looking as well so the flares will probably be riveted or dsuz(sp?) mounted. Not planning a tail right now. Thinking of backdating front and rear but not completely sold myself on that yet. So the dilemma is paint. Paint will be the major part of my budget eater if I have to paint the whole car. So, how some ideas on different colors that might work on this car where the bumpers, hood, and flares were a different color than the Ruby Red on the rest of the car. It seems like a hard color to do this for. I like some of the cars on the RS picture thread that have the orange bumpers on blue cars, etc. Just thought I would throw it out there to see if someone could come up with some alternative thinking here that might look the part. Here are a couple of pics to play with...

man, tough crowd....

what do you think about the green metallic that is somewhat lime, but a little darker maybe. I have seen it here a few times but will have to track down a picture...

I'd contrast your dark red with a bright yellow, gold, sand beige, charcoal or a carefully selected orange.

Bright green against dark red? Sounds horrible. Sorry.

Shane, that green is a cool color!...I think the two cars you show are actually the same color.

There's a 78 ROW SC that is that color here in town. It is Pat William's old car.....we called that color 'Metallic Asparagus' but I don't know the real factory name.
